Creating a New FePEST Project

Each FePEST optimization project references to a preexisting FEFLOW model. FePEST asks for the name of the respective FEFLOW FEM file (*.fem)  when creating a new FePEST project.

The FEFLOW model can be opened in FEFLOW from within FePEST. Making changes or even simultaneous work in FEFLOW and FePEST is allowed, provided that a reload is performed in FePEST after the model is saved in FEFLOW. Changing the reference to a different model is possible if all observation or elemental selections used in the FePEST project are present in the new reference model.

Opening, reloading and changing can be invoked from the Edit menu.
