Pseudo Saturation

Auxiliary Data parameter Pseudo Saturation is available for 3D models using the Standard (saturated) groundwater-flow equation and defined as Phreatic in the Problem Class section of the Problem Settings dialog.

Pseudo Saturation provides the current saturation for each finite-element and is computed as the wetted elemental volume divided by the total elemental volume.

 

For Richards' based models, the parameter Pseudo Saturation is replaced by the Saturation and Moisture content parameters available in the section Process Variables of the Data panel.
