Running in Pareto Mode

Once the pareto mode settings have been applied the problem may be run. This is done in the same way as when in Estimation Mode. Select the menu item Estimation / Run.

If parallelization is enabled then BeoPEST will be used to distribute the model runs to all slaves, in the usual way.

A valid Jacobian may be reused if it exists by selecting the checking the Advanced button and unchecking the Recalculate the Jacobian matrix button in the Run-dialogue.

While the problem is running the output PEST produces is displayed in the Output window. In addition:

• The current results, in this case the contents of the PEST POD or PPD files, may be viewed by clicking on the menu item Results / Show results. The content of the *.pod files are displayed during the run. The contents of the PPD file is displayed when the run is complete. The results may be copied to the clipboard for pasting to another program, e.g. Excel, by clicking on the Copy button.
